Fields¶
Now that you create an assessement, some definitions and got familiar with review, you probably want to add some fields to assess your hazards.
Adding a field¶
When you click on Settings and then Fields inside an assessment, you’ll arrive to this page:
In riskrunner four types of field exists.
To add a new field, click “Add field” which will bring up an editor. Select the type of field by checking the appropriate box, then save your choice.
Adding text field¶
This option allows you to create a text input field for your assessment.
Adding number field¶
This option allows you to create a number input field.
Adding select field¶
This will create a select field. As a main difference to the others fields, you can add different value options for the select field.
You can change the order of the options of a field while creating or editing a field. For this, click on the three dots that you can see on the right of an option, and choose “Move up” or “Move down” to change the order.
Adding matrix field¶
This option lets you create a matrix-style field for more complex data input.
For all for those types you can add a description, and specify which elements or definitions in your assessment the field will affect.
Fields are setup by assessments, meaning you can customize fields for each assessment’s needs. However, you cannot have two fields with the same name within an assessment.
Fields in review¶
Adding, editing and deleting a field can also be done inside a review by choosing the “Settings” review.
After that, add or include your fields to be able to review changes.
Warning
You cannot have an active review settings if there is one active review for entities. This is done to avoid conflict and ensure integrity of your data.
Field history¶
When accessing your definitions, you can view the value history of a select field to track its changes over time.
Display fields¶
Inside an assessment you can visualise a hazard and display the field you want. Go to a hazard and click on “Display”.
You will see this panel :
Choose which fields to display.
Use with assessment templates¶
One of the best use of assessment templates is with fields. You can create templates with different sets of fields to suit various assessment needs.
